About the office
The International Office drives progress against strategic objectives to increase international student enrolment, partnerships and mobility. The Office collaborates with Faculties and Schools with a focus on expanding international onshore recruitment, student mobility and development of new and existing priority international partnerships that encompass agent networks, student mobility and staff exchange.
About the role
This role provides administrative support and serves as a key contact for enquiries relating to inbound and outbound Student Exchange and Study Abroad (SESA) students. It requires developing a strong understanding of study options, financial requirements, admissions processes, and support services, while also contributing to promotional and student engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide information to students, schools, partner institutions and other enquirers regarding eligibility, credit requirements, financial requirements and support, application procedures, safety and security, and other matters related to student mobility.
- Offer continuous advice and support to students before, during and after their studies at UNDA and overseas, including guidance on scholarships, loans, funding options, and handling complex enquiries using sound judgement and initiative.
- Develop and coordinate student support and engagement activities such as pre‑departure programs, field trips, excursions, re‑entry programs and orientation sessions, while maintaining regular correspondence with students, faculties, partner universities and other stakeholders.
- Administer the full application process for inbound and outbound Study Abroad and Student Exchange programs, including relevant scholarships, grants, and sponsored student programs, and act as the primary point of contact for pre‑departure information related to travel, admissions, applications and enrolment.
- Maintain and manage the Study Abroad website and associated databases, ensuring accurate information and generating ad‑hoc reports as required.
- Coordinate and participate in marketing, communication and recruitment activities to build awareness of student mobility, and establish and maintain effective relationships, including attending international partner visits and conferences as needed.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Possession of a degree qualification and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.
- Demonstrated experience in the higher education sector or working with international students, which is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated organisational skills, problem‑solving abilities and sound judgement, with the capacity to work in a flexible and dynamic environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Highly developed interpersonal and written/oral communication skills, with the ability to work productively and cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team and with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and deliver quality customer service outcomes for all stakeholders, including effectively handling difficult customer situations.
